Apple iPod Battery Settlement
Apple's iPod battery settlement
On May 12, 2005 Apple agreed to the settlement of a class action lawsuit regarding the battery life of their older iPod models. Although Apple admits no wrongdoing, they were charged with an inaccurate claim of 8 hour iPod battery playback. This deal covers all first, second, and third generation iPods with a 1 year warranty sold prior to June 1, 2004. If you qualify for Apple's iPod battery settlement, you're required to present proof of purchase in order to receive a replacement iPod, free repair, or $50 credit towards other Apple products.
